Just to add:
I also used double quotes for a LONG time, until I came across that article
on Zend,
The fun thing is that it is not only _easier_ to output HTML staff but
single quotes are also faster (I tested it myself).
This is due the fact that the 'string' is not parsed for variables by parser
while "string" does.
PS: if you sometimes happen to generate a PHP page with PHP ( cloning )
then, yeah, man ... single quote will be some kind of RED CROSS for you.
Cheers!

single quotes are your friend! use them wisely, from this day on you will
be very happy to know of there use!
echo '<input name="f1" value="Home Sweet World">';
also, read this it is good string tutorial :
Using Strings :
http://www.zend.com/zend/tut/using-strings.php
By Nathan Wallace
basically, anything in '' does not parse. but keep in mind :
echo 'i ain\'t gonna take that!';
anyway, the above tutorial is useful and will make you happy.
