Hmm, I don't know about memory, but I'm guessing the are pretty resouce intensive. Mainly
because the script is constantly running, as long as you are on IRC. In order to prevent
this, you would probably need some sore of middle-man IRC agent. It would be on IRC, and
then put the Chat into a DB and accept POST's or soemthing.
Never read or heard about anything like that, though.
