any fast chat requires lots of memory .
I had a first attempt with shared memory, and wrote a PHP3 based
chat, but ended in some weird bug (mine or shmmem implementation,
I dunno) of hanged httpd processes...
Currently I'm working on a MySQL/JS based chat, which should be *fast*
but chose to use HEAP type for MySQL tables, which means again it will
eat mem.
[BTW: Any help from a JS+PHP experienced developer is welcome as I
plan to release it in the PD.]
