Hi guys,
I have a a security system on our webserver using PHP and sessions.
What i would like to do is be able to authenticate (not authorise) user
names against passwords from a remote Unix box so users of that system can
also get access to the web pages.
The goal is not to use a copy of the file or anything like that but actually
testing to see if the user has a valid pasword with as litle as possible
fuss. I've thought of using opening up a telnet session (via PHP) but there
really should be a better way.
Thanks for any ideas,
mn
