Hi,
have you thought about using the samba under Linux and synchronising that
the smbpasswd file with
with MySQL(not sure about this though since i think samba would need to talk
diectly to the NT PDC).
I am sure this is would be possible since samba is unix a implemntation of
the windows
networking architecture. Just a quick thought, the with some research or
other comments could be fruitful
I have syncnronised NT and Linux accounts using NT as the Domain Controller
(defined in the smb.conf file)
see how you go i would be intersted to see how you get on (wish i had time
to look into it myself).
Anyone else out there have any ideas
Cheers
Steven

Subject: [PHP] Apache, MySQL and PHP living with NT
I have an NT domain which houses a user account for each of our users. I am
building an intranet server that will run on Red Hat Linux 7 running PHP and
MySQL. I would like to put a lot of information on this web server, but
some of it needs to be secured. I can easily create a mysql table to hold
all of the user accounts and their (hashed) passwords. However, I would
like to use the username and password information that is already in the NT
domain so the users don't have two different accounts and passwords. Is
there any way to have the Apache/MySQL/PHP apps authenticate against an NT4
domain? Is this a good place for Kerberos or is LDAP a better solution? We
have an Exchange server.
