How to load the same page?

Hello all,
I am having a link on a page to configure the network, which was created
like this.
<a href=confignetwork.php>Configure the Network</a>
Configuration of the network takes about 30 seconds. So in that time i want
to display something like '......Configuring the network' and after the 30
seconds i want to display 'Network configuration completed'. I can't figure
out the way from any of the tutorials. So what i want to do is:
Before any thing the page will be(single line):
Configure the Network
After clicking the above link for about 30 seconds, the page will be(2
lines):
Configure the Network
...........Configuring the Network
After the 30 seconds the page should look like the following(2 lines):
Configure the Network
Network configuration completed
Can anybody suggest me how to do this.
