It is actually delaying for that period after the body is loaded, it is not
actually starting the delay from clicking on the link onwards. One more
thing is that it is delaying all the text which is present after the sleep()
function onwards, not only that single line.
So what i want to do :
-->Original page as it should be, when it is loaded first:
Configure the network
Play the voice files
-->The page after 30 seconds when somebody clicks on 'Configure the network'
link:
Configure the network
...network is configured
Play the voice files
'Play the voice files' should not get delayed for that period as it is
present after the sleep() function comes.

you can do output, like:
print "Configure the Network<br>";
flush();
/* Then sleep a while */
sleep(30);
/* Then print the rest */
print "Network configuration completed<br>";
just a thought.
