April, I'm not sure exactly what type of directory you have in mind as I haven't seen the ODP you refer to, but I have built a directory like application called phpYellow Pages 2000. It's an online yellow pages. It has all the customization you are likely to need in order to integrate it into your own look and feel. This is achieved mostly with cascading style sheets which help to keep content and style separate. It's also free to download, and has a support forum. The current version - 1.051 - appears to be stable and the installation is a breeze if you follow the instructions<g>. There's also an _OPTION_ to upgrade to a paid version which enables you to set the page placement of listings on the directory. http://dreamriver.com/software/ You could also try looking at http://www.phpbuilder.com and at http://www.zend.com and there also are more apps on http://www.php.net under the Projects category, as well as other fine php sites.
