While a somewhat different approach, our Virtuoso database can be used to
automatically replicate remote data stores locally, either relational data
or text (indexed, with text triggers available) and then you can build a
dynamic page with PHP using Virtuoso where the content in the database will
change at set intervals, giving your pages back-end dynamism.
I've used Virtuoso with PHP - it works just fine :) It appears that you are
a student as well - Virtuoso is free in a low-use environment (under 3
concurrent connections) and we provide support gratis as well. More info is
available at http://www.openlinksw.com/virtuoso
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Andrew
