What do you mean the archives aren't searchable? Go to www.php.net and
put your mouse over the search button in the top-right corner. Type in
your search string and select the mailing list you would like to search
and hit "Go".

Not with Apache-1.3. Perhaps with Apache-2.0. This is not a PHP issue.
