First of all, php files have to have the .php3, .php, .phtml extensions (you
stated you were testing a simple HTML file). Also, make sure you have the
server name set as localhost if you are going to be using the server
offline. And you didn't mention if you were running an Apache server on your
laptop?

Hi all.
Having major trouble getting php 3 or 4 to run under windoze 98 with
pws. any hints or tips appreciated. Have run the INF and checked the
registry and all correct. The DLLs and EXE are in c:/php3 and the ini
file is correct and in the windows directory.
any silly things I have missed.
I am running as a test a simple HTML file that generates the date and
inserts an include footer file (as shown on devshed and php.net). I have
it all working on a UNIX apache online box but no joy on my win 98
laptop which is used for dev purposes so I don't need to be net
connected all the time.
Regards
Scott
