The simplest encryption method to use is md5()
If you want to remember both username and password for a given user,
you're best to send the user an md5 hash and store usernames/passwords
in a db somewhere. You can generate a very random hash with
md5(uniqid(rand(), 1))
The chances of someone finding a valid key that will give them a
username/password is <num users> in 2^128
