I have PHP3 and a cgi version of PHP4 on my site. I am about to setup the DSO version of PHP4. I want to retain the cgi version of PHP4 (not particularly fussed about the PHP3 - but would be useful to keep as well) will the std installs that are documented everywhere affect the PHP3 (the cgi one is, I believe, untouched)No, it shouldn't effect it at all. If in doubt, locate the php executable and back it up in a safe place until you're done installing. Afterwards, check it out, and if it appears OK, delete the backup. But I doubt there's a need to do this. AFAIK, the php CGI executable is standalone. The DSO install will create a file called libphp4.so and put it into Apache's module directory (or should). -Brian
