Davor, I think there may be a bug (excessive optimization) that the IBM JDK is doing that's causing not enough resources to be available for PHP Java (the latter starts to loop infinitely waiting for the necessary resources). I'd suggest trying a different JDK if you can. I've had much better success with Blackdown's JDK 1.2.2. I asked on the IBM newsgroups about the IBM JDK optimization problem but haven't gotten a response yet. I'm also looking into making PHP Java a little more robust and tolerant of these types of JDK problems. I did some changes and I have a feeling that I'm pretty close to the solution, but I still don't have Java within PHP. > Davor, > > Your problem are the following php.ini lines: > > java.library=/opt/web/php_stuff/lib/libphp_java.so > java.library.path=/opt/web/php_stuff/lib > > These need to point to your jdk's libjvm.so or libjava.so > (as appropriate for your JDK) and the directories that > contain the other JDK load libraries (e.g. /opt/java/jdk/ > jre/bin:/opt/java/jdk/jre/bin/classic). Please review the > php distribution's ext/java/readme carefully. This is how my php.ini looks now: [Java] ;java.class.path = .\php_java.jar ;java.home = c:\jdk ;java.library = c:\jdk\jre\bin\hotspot\jvm.dll ;java.library.path = .\ java.library.path=/opt/java/jdk/jre/bin:/opt/java/jdk/jre/bin/classic java.home=/opt/java/jdk java.class.path=/opt/web/php_stuff/lib/php_java.jar:/opt/java/jdk/lib/tools.jar:/opt/java/jdk/jre/lib/rt.jar java.library=/opt/java/jdk/jre/bin/libjava.so extension_dir=/opt/web/php_stuff/lib extension=libphp_java.so and now I don't have 'Cannot locate CreateJavaVM' or 'libXYZ.os cannot be found' but the file with php/java functions cannot be opened (connection time out). Logs are not saying anything. It looks like PHP is trying to initialize JVM, but it takes too much time. My configuration: linux kernel 2.2.16, apache 1.3.12, php 4.0.3pl1, glibc 2.1.3, IBM JDK 1.3 Thanks. -- Besplatno kopiranje Linux distribucija i softwarea [Novi Mandrake, RedHat, Debian, ...] http://www.inet.hr/~dcengija/
