My understanding is if you have PHP installed as a module the JVM only gets instantiated once. (Of course CGI it gets fired up everytime) As far as C libaries go to http://www.zend.com/zend/api.php and have a read. mn Mark Nold markn@enspace.com <mailto:markn@enspace.com> Senior Consultant   Change is inevitable, except from vending machines. -----Original Message----- From: Fraser MacKenzie [mailto:fraserm@rondaksportal.com] Sent: Wednesday, November 22, 2000 2:01 AM To: php-general@lists.php.net Subject: Question... Hi all, I haven't been able to find any information on this out there and I would be much appreciative if somebody could give me a hand. I have a number of C APIs and Java APIs and I want to put the hooks into PHP or at least be able to call them from PHP programs. Has anyone done something like this, or know of a place that I can at least read up on how to do this? Thanks for your time and trouble. Sincerely, Fraser MacKenzie
