I have a bit of a question about this. I have used both these commands to execute a unix command/program and have run into a problem. Im trying to launch the app minicom with a few flags to get minicom to run using a script file. From the command line, the command works perfectly and it executes the script and exits the prog like a charm. But when I launch it from a PHP script, because the program physically outputs in a structured screen manner, it gets itself into a massive loop, starts chewing up CPU cycles going right up to 99% until I kill the app. Has anyone else had any experience with launching programs like Minicom so that it can run without getting itself caught up in a loop ?
