I want to use it for on the fly thumbnails. You have checked the GD library is 1.8 or greater? (sorry if this has already been said - I missed the start of the thread!) GD < 1.6 supports GIFs and not JPEG/PNG. GD > 1.8 supports JPEG/PNG and not GIF. Anyone else - is there a way to sense which version of GD is running on the server during a script?
