Directory functions still don't work under Solaris 2.4 too. I personally think it's something what shouldn't happen at all: major script language doesn't fully work with major operating system (agreed, a liitle outdated, but with patches it's no need to upgrade this OS). In case of PHP readdir under Solaris 2.4 a PHP developer argues he hasn't time to fix it due to fixing a higher priority bugs. I wonder why a bug which prevents the user from reading his/her disk directories has low priority.
