Hi,
Is there a way to share data between several requests? Similar to iPlanet's
SERVER object. We want to move iPlanet sites to Apache/PHP/sybase.
What we want to do is to have a memorycache of some htmlTemplates that are
stored in a database (sybase). This to reduce the load on the database.
The solutions we have so far is the following:
1. Using a RAM drive to store the html templates in textfiles. With a class
to administer the retrival from the database and the storage on the RAM
drive.
2. Using enviroment variables to store the templates.
Is this the right way to go, or is there a better solution?.
Best Regards
