Go to www.freshmeat.net (not a porn site) and search for "pop mail php", the
result list looks promising to help you get started. especially number 1,
"class.POP3.php3 An RFC 1939 compliant PHP3 class to the POP3 protocol " and
number 5, "phpop, Simple PHP Web based POP e-mail reader". Hope this helps.

So mail sent to foo@bar.com get appended to the end of the file
/home/bar/MAIL/foo.txt

it's entirety, however, I'd much rather have the info stored in a database
so I can retrieve the messages one-by-one, make folders, in other words
web-based email. I can even write php script in foo.txt (make it parse with
.htaccess), but nonetheless the incoming message will be appended to the end
of the file, not processed by it.
