Check your oracle manual for view. It is something like Create View
viewname (
select yada yada yada from yada where yada)
You could create a view per person but the problem with this is that
you could be creating a billion (seems like a lot :-) of views
depending on the number of hits you get. AND there is no *easy* way
to delete the view because you wont know when the user is through with
the view.
The Select/Limit *should not* re-select the table but simply work from
the existing cursor .. Yes? I don't actually remember this but this
info is in the docs somewhere. If you don't have the book handy go to
oracle on line and browse their documentation
