Thanks, I fully understand the function, I'm already using it quite successfully. Your reply doesn't answer my quesion. I will rephrase. Is there a way to have session.save_handler = files, but alter the setting so it acts like session.save_handler = user for a specific script only? I have some scripts I'd like to keep running with the default files setting but one script in particular I want to use database managed sessions... I hope this better explains my question. What do you do in shared user environments when two users have different session management needs?
