Thanks for the feedback.
I have to admit I'm quite new to PHP. However I believe it must be a good choice for such a
project. Actually the problems I face are beyond the scope of PHP.
It is very interesting that you have already tried to implement SSL support to your project as I
would also like the anonymizer to be able to work with SSL but it is currently beyond my knowledge.
As far as I know, apart from the famous Anonymizer, almost all Web-based anonymizers only support
HTTP (no HTTPS, no cookies). So I guess it is not easy.
An alternative could be to configure a whole server (eg. Apache) to act as a proxy and relay any
kind of traffic (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP) - a bit like Space-Proxy.
I will be happy to hear from all interested parties in the mail list.
And BTW no, I'm not German !
