Hey Derek!
Basically, you need to write those six (five? seven?) functions that handle
the session data: create a session, read a session, write a session, etc.
Then, call session_set_save_handler() with the names of those functions, so
PHP calls them instead of its internal functions.
In between, it would be a Good Idea (tm) to thoroughly test the six
functions with some fake data.
You may also want to take special care to have some custom error-logging for
them -- I think the session-writer gets called after the HTTP connection is
dead and gone, so you'll not see its error messages in the browser. Send
them to the Apache log or to your database or...
Hope that helps.
