Dig around the net for Rasmus' "posttohost" function.
Or look at Manuel Lemos' Class to do the same.
Or any of a number of others.
In order to talk to an SSL (secure) server, you're going to have to use
"cURL" -- I think it's been rolled into PHP 4 recently, but you can always
download and exec() it if you're not up to date yet.
