PHP can usually access anything in the website area, irrelevant of the .htaccess settings, so you can just setup an .htaccess files set to deny all in a directory, and put the PHP files in a non-protected directory, then you can just access the files using ./dirname/ as the path to the files, just remember that all files would have to passed through PHP. Hi, If I have a .htaccess protected directory is there a directive to allow only php files to access the images otherwise they are denied access. I have used the refferer directive but is there another way. Can php be assigned a user value and then .htaccess then only allows that user access. I would love a response from this and be extrememly happy when solved.
