To add to this: if the user is typically leaving the site via a link from
your site, you could write some PHP code to redirect and kill the session in
the process.
Eg: modify your link to point to:
redirect.php?href=www.yahoo.com/index.htm
.. and write redirect.php to kill the session, and redirect to the desired
URL. It could also record the fact that you have referred someone to Yahoo
in the process.
It doesn't stop someone just typing something into the address bar, which is
probably what you're trying to deal with, but might be useful all the same.
