Hi all, We have developed an easy-to-use web-based database of the messages sent to the PHP-General Mailing List. This db will let you search for messages based on subject, message text, or author. The db contains every message sent on the PHP-General list since Election Day (11-7-2000) and will give you the 50 most recent by default. You can use this db freely, and free of advertising, to search for answers to your questions you would normally post to the mailing list, for often times the messages posted have been posted before. Also, the db can be used by anyone, not just mailing list members. We are also looking to enhance the db to better support the PHP community, so any suggestions of enhancements or criticisms are very welcome. The site can be found at: http://www.summittech.com/phpgenmail.php3 A sister site for MYSQL can be found at: http://www.summittech.com/mysqlmail.php3 Some pointers to using the system. The system will display the 50 most recent messages by default The search is NOT case sensitive When viewing a message, the subject and the author are links. The author link will automatically create a new mail message to the original author and the mailing list with the previous message already quoted in the message text The subject link will create a new search for those rows that match the subject in the message currently being viewed Anyway, take a look and tell us what we should do to improve the db.
