The IMAP functions are used for POP as well. Just read the imap_open function to get started:

Hi,http://php.net/manual/ref.imap.phpThat mentions that the underlying library also supports POP as well. However, all of the functions listed are obviously IMAP.I'd like to create some minimal functions to interact with a POP server, yet have seen no real documentation - certainly not of the extent given at the URL above and the IMAP support in PHP.This is found at that URL: Note that these functions are not limited to the IMAP protocol, despite theirname. The underlying c-client library also supports NNTP, POP3 and local mailbox access methods. So, are the function names themselves the same? Can anyone point me inthe right direction? I'd like to decipher this stuff quickly and do some work over the weekend.
