image upload problem

Hi I need some help. I'm trying to write script for a client to upload images to a server. I'm on this mailing list and checked the archives for solutions. I've tried the different ones offered, as well as checked php.net, and zend. I cannot get this to work. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance. Here is the code I'm using p (php4 installed) ------------------------------------------ This is the form page: Image 1:
--------------------------------------------------------- This is the page that handles the uploads (upload.php3): <? $userfile = basename($userfile); ?> <?php if (copy($userfile, "imgs/".$userfile_name)) { echo("file copied ok"); } else { echo("file not copied"); } ?>
submitted:
Name: <? echo($userfile); ?>
original name: <? echo($userfile_name); ?>
size: <? echo($userfile_size); ?>
type: <? echo($userfile_type); ?>
----------------------------------------------- This is the result on the webpage (right now I'm using it on localhost, but I've tried it on a unix server and I get the same error; Warning: Unable to open 'php11A.tmp' for reading: No such file or directory in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\upload.php3 on line 15 file not copied submitted: Name: php11A.tmp original name: rightbg.gif size: 1689 type: image/gif ----------------------------------------------- This is what my php.ini file looks like: file_uploads = On upload_tmp_dir = C:\PHP\uploadtemp upload_max_filesize = 2000000 ------------------------------------------- Sincerely, Nicole Brathwaite Application Developer Geonetric Technologies 200 1st Ave NE Suite 220 Cedar Rapids, IA 52401 319.221.1667 319.221.1450 nicole@geonetric.com www.geonetric.com "we must go and see for ourselves" Jacques-Yves Cousteau
