I am very new to PHP, but I would like to do things 'right the first time' as much as possible. When learning perl, it took me over a year to realize the benefits of CGI.pm and it would take some major rewrites to move to that now. I've visited http://phplib.netuse.de/, but would like to know what the benefits and/or drawbacks of using the phplib are. I have PHP 4 installed as an Apache module and MySQL on my virtual server. I am working on a large scale project that requires pages to be generated on the fly. I have some templates with php code in them and the customized portions of the pages are based on the database. This project is a rush job. I would like to be able to implement something as easily and quickly as possible, but make it easy to upgrade at the same time. Any advice would be appreciated.
