If this is what you want to do -->
1. User fills out some information in a form.
2. Data from user is passed to PHP script.
3. PHP manipulates/appends information to the data provided.
4. PHP posts the completed data to ANOTHER script (which would be non-local
in most cases, or if you're posting to a cgi, or whatever. ie-
http://zippy.com/cgi-bin/takemydataplease.cgi)
There are 2 possible ways to do this. It depends if you need SSL or not.
If you do not need SSL there is a class on the PHP Code Exchange that will
do standard posts.
However, if you need to use SSL (https:// connection) than the only option
is using a nifty little program called cURL. You must compile it on the
server with openssl. It can then be exec() out of PHP and return what the
results from the post are (if any).
