This may be, I don't know what exactly what was trying to be

This is not true. A header('Location: ...') sends to your web browser
an
HTTP 302
Location: whatever.
Which tells your browser someplace else to go.
The browser simply goes to that location. Any valid URL is
acceptable. Most web browsers, including Netscape Navivigator and MSIE
are also FTP clients.
