It appears that RedHat 7.0 (updated) does not come default with pdflib, and
therefore its PHP RPMs do not have pdf support compiled-in. Am I right?
When trying "Example 1." from the PHP manual on creating a PDF document I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: pdf_open()
in /var/www/html/pdftest/pdftest.php on line 3
So, I assume then, that the procedure for getting pdf support in RedHat 7.0 is
to get pdflib from:
http://www.pdflib.com/pdflib/download/index.html
compile it with the option --enable-shared-pdflib as indicated by:
http://www.php.net/manual/ref.pdf.php
then install it.
Then, I presume that I should grab RedHat's PHP src.rpm from:
ftp://updates.redhat.com/7.0/SRPMS/php-4.0.3pl1-1.src.rpm
(perhaps replacing the tarball with php-4.0.4 and adjust the .spec file
appropriately???)
and rebuild the RPM and then freshen/update the RPM installation?
Is that all that it will take to get pdf support?
Thanks.
