This can be done by denying access to the user - simply create a page that
returns "HTTP/1.0 401 Unauthorized" in the headers. The next time a
protected page on the site is visited, it should require re-auth.
I've never tested this but I've heard it talked about; keep us updated if
you have any problems.

Subject: [PHP] clear HTTP authentication data ?
: Hi,
:
: Is it possible to get rid of authentication data passed by the browser
without having to close it down ? I have secured part of a site using basic
HTTP authentication and I would like to add a "Log off" button so that at
the next request for protected files users would have to authenticate again.

: Regards & happy new year
