I don't think GD supports WBMP, does it?... If it does, you need to look for a file named phpgd.dll (you may already have it) on http://php4win.de Then, edit your php.ini file and "uncomment" the line in there that talks about phpgd.dll You can check where your php.ini is and what-all you have turned on by having a script with this in it: <?php phpinfo();?> If GD does not support WBMP, you will need to find some software that (A) does support it and (B) can be called from a DOS prompt to do what you want. Once you find such a best (if it exists) you can use http://php.net/exec to run that program from inside PHP. I'm guessing WBMP is Windows BMP (or some derivation thereof) and you are out of luck because Microsoft does not tend to release their proprietary file formats, in general. But, hey, I could (hopefully) be wrong. ----- Original Message ----- From: Eelco de Vries <eelco@bitnetics.com> Newsgroups: php.general Sent: Tuesday, January 02, 2001 7:47 PM Subject: [PHP] where and how to setup WBMP support files? > Hi all, > > I'm quite new with PHP and would need some help on the following: > > I need to develop a system (on Win2000/IIS/PHP4.04) that generates WBMP > images and inserts text in existing WBMP images. > > I read in many articles that for image format support like jpg/gif I would > need download additional files and 'compile' my PHP to support them. > > How do I 'compile' this with WBMP on my win2000? > > And where can I download this additional file for WBMP? > > Can I use ImageTTFText to insert text into the existing WBMP image? > > > I would really appreaciate some help on this. > Regards; > Eelco. > > > -- > PHP General Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) > To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-general-unsubscribe@lists.php.net > For additional commands, e-mail: php-general-help@lists.php.net > To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net >
