so did anyone ever come up with the be-all-and-end-all solution to:
"I have a linux webserver"
"I have an NT box running an ODBC data source"
"I need to have the linux box speak ODBC to the NT box"
because I certainly have not.
Here is my guess, which I'm testing that the moment:
-Setup your NT machine with, say, Filemaker Pro w/ ODBC.
-Setup a system DSN on the NT machine
-Somehow try and connect from another local windows box to verify that it
works (uh, fuzzy)
-If you are reasonably confident that it is working, setup OpenLink's
product (because iODBC seems to be entirely useless?) and hope that their
configuration instructions work...
Then run a bit of PHP that tries to connect to the DSN which has been
defined on the linux machine.
correct?
