Hello everyone, Is it possible to link php on a linux box to an access database on a windows machine using an NT domain? Do I need to compile ODBC with apache? Or is it better to link the windows machine to the MySQL server on the linux box? I do have samba installed if that helps. Thanks for any suggestions --Mike
Just a suggestion, not tested a)try to link the nt-machine from the linux machine using smbclient (make a link to the smbclient-path in your php dir) that should work. Let the whole stuff run under Linux, with a mysql-db (only one REAL machine to maintain;-) ) or, as i know there are problems using the win-odbc for mysql, you could use postgres, wich is a powerful db and also supported by php (this machine should be a linux-box) hope this helps Oliver
