Hi Teodor,
Sorry for hassling you.
I've been trying unsuccessfully to get mm to work with Apache+php.
MM installs fine, and php compiles without errors.
But I just can't get apache to compile.
I've outlined all I've done, and the error messages below. Any pointers
would be most appreciated.
-Morty
Here is what I've done so far:
#1 For mm
configure --disable-shared --prefix=/home/a/achattar/mm
make
make test
make install
<This works fine, creates a directory in /home/a/achattar/mm and creates
the following files and directories:
mm:
bin/ include/ lib/ man/mm/bin:mm-config*
mm/include:mm.hmm/lib:libmm.a libmm.la
mm/man:
man1/ man3/
mm/man/man1:
mm-config.1
mm/man/man3:
mm.3>
#2 For Apache
configure Apache
#3 For php
./configure --prefix=/home/a/achattar/php4.0.0
--with-mm=/home/a/achattar/mm --with-oci8 --with-oracle
--with-apache=../apache_1.3.12 --enable-track-vars --disable-debug
--enable-calendar --with-regex=php
--with-config-file-path=/home/a/achattar/php4.0.0/conf --enable-trans-sid
make make install
<I'm not getting any errors here either, so presumably everything is OK>
#4 For Apache
configure --prefix=/home/a/achattar/php4.0.0
--activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a
make
At this point I get the error:

Obviously apache is unable to locate the mm library. But I don't know how
to solve this.
BTW I've got LD_LIBRARY_PATH set to:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib:/usr/local/pkg/oracle/product/8.0.3/lib:
/usr/local/pkg/oracle/product/8.0.3/ows/3.0/lib:/home/a/achattar/mm/lib
Any hints or tips will be much appreciated.
