PHP 4.0.0 decimal numbers problem

This is my little problem..maybe i've lost some previous discussion : $a=80125 ; $b=0.05 ; echo $a*$b --> 0 $a=80125 ; $b=5E-2 ; echo $a*$b --> 4006,25 It worked perfectly in php 3.x versions and in both cases it gave me 4006.25 , the correct answer..now i can't find track about this on the changelog for the 4.0.1 version, so i was asking myself if I have to change each similar line to migrate to php4 or if it won't be so in future versions or if I am wrong somewhere. Please reply even via mail cause it's an urgent question for me.
