Ok, I'm not really getting this. Without anything in my php.ini I was able to register session vars just like session_register('var') and then access them using $GLOBALS['var']. From what I'm gathering there's a performance hit from using the $GLOBALS? So I turned register_globals off, I'm registering my session vars the same way (i.e. session_register('var')) and then I try to access them with $HTTP_SESSION_VARS['var'], but I don't see my variables. I also defined $HTTP_SESSION_VARS as a global at the top of my function. Does anyone know exactly how this works or can point me to a reference page that has how this works?
