I found it interesting that on 7/5/00 10:26 AM Bob Horton said: > I don't understand why, perhaps I found a bug, but when I changed my > session_register statements back to 1 variable for each session_register > (rather than "var1, var2, var3") it seems to be working just fine again. > > That seems to have solved it. I'll need to test some more to be sure but I > think that's it! I can try that but, my problem is that a new session ID is created each time the form is posted even if I force the session ID. This is the output of my form: Posted Variable from the form: c0e0766c110f6a373cf09605d3dcddf9 after the session started I get this ID: 383bfe2fbfb1e849e8e5aa1cd159f606 Then Variables registered in session: 383bfe2fbfb1e849e8e5aa1cd159f606 And then I do "echo SID;":PHPSESSID=383bfe2fbfb1e849e8e5aa1cd159f606 Now, if I force the session_id using session_id($PHPSESSID); with $PHPSESSID being the posted session value, I get this output: Posted Variable from form: 4858f5f1b2e6766c30f83ec0b055d54f after the session started I get this ID: 92e7f91bd221927d70696d280d351d5b session id forced then echo session_id(): 4858f5f1b2e6766c30f83ec0b055d54f Then Variables registered in session: 4858f5f1b2e6766c30f83ec0b055d54f And then I do "echo SID;":PHPSESSID=92e7f91bd221927d70696d280d351d5b Oh! And a curious thing. Even though the form value clearly shows 4858f5f1b2e6766c30f83ec0b055d54f in the form field, when I post the form again for kicks the posted variable becomes 92e7f91bd221927d70696d280d351d5b so it seems the cookie which is being accepted is overwriting the value. -- Thomas Deliduka IT Manager ------------------------- New Eve Media The Solution To Your Internet Angst http://www.neweve.com/
