Re: [PHP3] PHP4 DSO with Mysql

Hi Thomas, I did have the same problem with PHP3, Apache and mysql. I solved it putting setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /usr/local/mysql/lib/mysql:/usr/local/lib before starting Apache as well. The problem is often that the library path is not known, or that the "make" of php does not link to it, so Apache will not find it. If the problem comes from the "making" of php, use: #setenv CPPFLAGS -I/usr/local/apache/include/xml/ #./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-config-file-path=/usr/local/apache/conf --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --enable-track-vars #setenv LDFLAGS "-L/usr/local/mysql/lib/mysql/ -lmysqlclient" #make #make install as was pointed out by Tuupola, in a post on 10.05.2000.
