Here are two scripts I wrote to do this very thing. One is the actual script
used to updated the counter, email the admin and then send the file to the
user. The second script is an admin type script that displays all counters
in the database and allows you to delete them. Keep in mind these scripts
were not supposed to be posted anywhere until I rewrote them later on. The
scripts are messy... very messy. And there are a lot of things I want to
change. Like using global variables for the database server etc.. right now
anywhere the script connects to the database you need to hand edit the
values used for connecting. In both scripts... and so on. But this will do
the trick. I'm using it right now in more than a few places. Also keep in
mind that anything in these scripts that is not code was written in the last
5 minutes. I wanted to give at least a little direction and information. If
there is something you can figure out let me know.
Hope this helps or at least gets you started.
Regards,
Tony Kirk
