Troubles in variables management

When i submit a form to another PHP3 page, the variables that i've defined in the first page aren't passed to the second one because in their place apears nothing, not even an empty space. What kind of fields in wich files (from PHP configurations) do i update to make the transportation of variables from one page to another work right? At the moment I'm working with an Apache server, to run PHP3 scripts. I think i've updated the all the right fields in php3.ini, but just in case... Tks for coop Regards Armando C.
