Usually variables are passed from one page to the next using GET variables and
POST data. You can use the serialize function to store them on the server if you
prefer, but that's almost certainly not what you want!
The on-line manual talks about this kind of thing (search on HTTP_GET_VARS /
HTTP_POST_VARS) to get you started.
If you want them stored privately on your server then try a database. I can
heartily recommend MySQL -- I've used it extensively for about 6+ months now and
it's the best! I can't recommend any other database more for just about any
purpose. There are mysql modules and support so your Apache/PHP setup will work
fine.
Only if you want a database though -- check out the GET / POST vars first!
Enjoy :)
James.
