Hi,
Pardon the cross-post with php-install, but this
seems to be on the grey line between the two.
I'm trying to install php in a non-standard directory
format for the sake of trying to make an easy to
install, modularized component that can simply
be added to Apache for UNIX, much like the
current (and only) binary install works for Win32.
I've hacked up the Makefiles and configuration a bit
to put everything into <apache server root>/php, but
based on the hardcoded "prefix" used at configuration
time, the php.ini file is looked for in /usr/local/lib.
Since I'm trying to create a binary install in which
the final install directory could be anywhere, I want
to ignore that hardcoded php.ini PATH and take
advantage of the "current working directory" as
described at the top of php.ini, but the question is,
where is the "current working directory" for the
php module being loaded at apache startup time?
So far, it's not apache/php or apache/libexec.
Any clue?
I'd rather not have to set PHPRC in the system
/etc/profile in order to get this working.
On Win32, I just put the php.ini in the apache/php
directory where it finds it just fine.
On this note, if anyone else has gone about creating
a simple to install, modularized PHP binary install
for UNIX systems (preferably non-RPM as I want to do
this across multiple UNIX systems), please share
your efforts!
