I am working on setting up a Red Hat Linux Web Server. Is there a benefit to installing PHP/MySQL/Apache by compiling them from source vs. installing these using RedHat's Binary/RPM distributions? What are the pro's and con's of these two methods? Can anybody suggest any pointers considering stability, efficiency, and easy upgrades? Thanks in advance.
