It works for me on my other server and I _can_ use .htaccess there, with
Apache, but NOT in the same folder of course if I want to use
authentication with php. :)
But the problem remains, why does $PHP_AUTH_USER and $PHP_AUTH_PW return
empty and why can't you use authentication with php like you "used to"?
In my case you only get the login-window and then all the authentications
will fail and no user och pass is returned.
I hope that you, Ed Klavins, have the same problem so you don't feel like
I'm "taking over" this question.
Thanks
