It's right (2) below REMOTE_ADDR. But it may only show up when the page is
protected by HTTP authentication.
My problem was that I had .htaccess on the directory that had phpinfo() in
it (which worked). But I wasn't using htaccess for my other pages. (Thanks
netbrain).

remote_user? i cant see remote_user in my phpinfo, ( i use php4.0.1 ) but
i found remote_address
